FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ANOTHER MEMBER OF BURGLARY RING CONVICTED FOR MULTNOMAH COUNTY COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES

6/3/25

Multnomah County Judge Melvin Oden-Orr on June 2, 2025, sentenced 34-year-old Daniel Blew to 18 months of prison as part of a plea deal that resolved all of Blew’s outstanding cases in Multnomah County. In addition to the 18 months of prison, Blew was sentenced to 60 months of START Court probation.  Blew stipulated to 41-45 months of additional prison time if probation is revoked.

Blew pleaded guilty to multiple charges on 5/22/2025, including three counts of Burglary in the First Degree for his role in the burglary ring that has targeted as many as 100 Portland area businesses.  In pleading guilty, Blew acknowledged that he burglarized three businesses as part of the burglary ring.

Blew’s Multnomah County cases include:

21CR21955; 22CR46021; 25CR05562; 25CR09675.

Blew additionally pleaded guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (auto theft) and Burglary in the Second Degree.

Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney Alexander Garcia prosecuted the case for the state.

After the sentencing he said: “Accountability will be restored in Portland and the greater Portland metropolitan area. Mr. Blew’s actions – simply put – are unacceptable.  All members of this burglary ring will be held accountable and prosecuted. Enough is enough.”

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office would like to recognize the work of Portland Police Bureau Acting Detective Consider Vosu, Portland Police Bureau Elliott Walker, and MCDA Investigator Gabriella Snedecor for their work on this case.

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office would also like to thank MCDA Victim Advocates Karla Juarez and Emma Kane.
