Grand Jury determines no criminal charges will be filed in connection with the death of Damon Johnson

Portland, OR-A Multnomah County Grand Jury, after reviewing the facts of the case involving the death of Damon Lamarr Johnson determined that no criminal charges will be filed in connection with the incident.
The Court has authorized the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office to release a transcript of the testimony so the public can see what the officers, Medical Examiner, and others told the grand jurors. The process to transcribe and verify the transcript typically takes weeks or longer. In this case we plan on using automated transcription tools, in conjunction with verification by our staff, to have the transcript out much sooner, possibly by Monday November 17th.
